As usual I love the Anime that Scott recommends. So when he starts raving about how great Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is I knew I had to start watching it. But as usual I don’t start right away. I hate waiting each week for a new episode so I wait for them to finish then I’ll marathon the episodes in about a week. My only complaint was something really small, and pretty much pointless, but it bugged me more than any other art form in an anime in a long time.
The Side Bang.
Now normally this wouldn’t bother me very much, but for some reason in this series I can’t get over it. At least the story line is so good I just deal with it and not worry. Now on the other hand if the story was pretty boring this would make me stop watching all together.
All in all I liked this series very much I’m looking forward to doing a marathon of A’s in the next week or so and then waiting for Strikers to finish so I can marathon it as well. Hey I might even have to get me some figures from this series as well.
In all I give this an A- yes a minus, only cause I still can’t get over the bad side bang issude

A’s is better than the first season. Watch StrikerS with a grain of salt… because it’s umm… well, let’s just say is not as good as the first couple seasons. MGLN is probably a top 5 or even top 3 favorite of all times, yet even I have trouble really latching onto StrikerS. I appreciate it, but I’d rather just watch A’s over and over again. Even when I look at StrikerS completely separate from the first 2 seasons and even look at it removed from my Nanoha fandom, it’s not a very good series.
As for figures, Alter Fate is hands down the best one. GSC Nanoha is the best Nanoha figure, but I believe both have been discontinued, so you’ll have to eBay them. The only ones I don’t have are Kotobukiya’s Nanoha (which is beyond ugly) and Movic’s 1/6 Fate (which has been impossible to find). I dropped my preorder for CM’s Signum, which comes out at the end of the month because it’s a ridiculous 7000+ yen piece of unimpressive PVC.

I never did notice those bangs before…now it’s going to be in the back of my mind when I re-watch them!! ^_^
I’m sure you will love Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, and just like scott said, StrikerS isn’t really up there with the first two seasons. But it still has bits of what made Nanoha a great series.
