Good Smile Company’s Rin Tohsaka: This figure is divine, simply divine! The moment I saw her out for pre-order, I knew there was no way I could live without her! My only issue is how shiny the shirt it, and while it does look lovely from a clothing standpoint, her shirt isn’t made of a shiny material but should be more matte like her skirt.
The details on Rin are exquisite, and pretty much flawless. Lately these figure companies are giving me nothing to complain about!
Even with such a frowny face, Rin is still so lovely!
Nice detail on the chain Loving the pinky finger just barely poking out! When in doubt, pinky out!
Looks like Rin doesn’t rock the Shimapan!
I know it’s silly, but her boobs, while great in this figure, but it would never dip in the middle like that if her they were really that big. Maybe if the shirt were a little looser and her boobs were smaller… But then that’s the original design of the art and not GSC’s fault.
I love the base. It’s so nicely detailed and the swords make it looks so epic!
Here is the reference art. I’ve mentioned this again and again on how much I adore a figure that has reference art! When you can compare the figure to the art it’s supposed to be based off and see just how wonderful this 3D replication is, it’s such a treat!
I will say, my all time favorite part about this figure is her hair! I adore how they got the “blowing in the wind” look and how it looks so natural and so action-like! It doesn’t look forced, but natural as if she were in a perpetual wind tunnel.
Interchangeable hands, give her a dagger!
This is by far my favorite all-time Rin Tohsaka figure (there aren’t many) and I’ve owned a few in the past, but they were pretty much boring and I sold them all. Part of me regrets selling some of them since now they are a little rare and they were older figures, yet at the same time I’m glad I held off for a proper representation to get this particular Rin! She’s the cream of the crop and I wonder if any other future figure will ever top this particular Rin!

I completely you agree with you about how the best part is the hair. The moment I saw the first image I was instantly drawn to it! I also can understand why you think the shirt is a little too shiny, but in the long run this looks like a really great figure!
I so agree with you! The was simply beautiful!!
“Rin was just recently released and shouldn’t be too hard to find! ”
Every store I visited from your list says “out of stock”
oops, guess i underestimated how many of her have sold…
You can still pre-order her here: http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?products_id=10736
It’s first come, first serve anyways, so I won’t be surprised if you couldn’t get her there either
Such a beautiful figure! And her hair- so flawless!!
I remember you showed this at your panel and I couldn’t find a way to grab it and run without being caught. As you said, the detail they put in the hair was awesome and must be a good reason for the high price.
Thinking about getting her, the only thing that is preventing me to do so is her…uhm…ass. Looks a bit too big in every pic I’ve seen, but maybe it’s just me. Could you please confirm this ?
I love your shots! I’m so glad I got her as well!
I’d like a figure of Archer to go by her too
if he had been included in this figure I would have definietly paid even more for her!
Love this Rin! It’s perfect, I hadn’t seen her before so I hope I can find her for ‘cheap’
