Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

How to Make Valentines Day Chocolates

This past monday was Valentines Day, I decided to try my hand at making chocolate candies, some Honmei Choco for my Boyfriend and Giri Choco for everyone else!  Of course I don’t know how to make homemade chocolates from scratch so it came down to Hershey bars!

It’s easier to melt when they are broken down into teeny pieces, it was pretty easy to melt them.

I didn’t want my Chocos to just be all Chocolate so I bought these Candy Melts, they tasted delicious!

I put the pot that i had my chocolate in another pot o boiling water to melt the chocolates, if it has a direct flame underneath it it’ll burn the chocolates.

Not long after putting it in the water the chocolate is nicely melted!

The Candy melts melted easier, just put them in a baggy and microwave it, then cut a small hole in the corner to be able to make whatever design you wanted.

The I took some of the white candy, made a heart design in the mold, then got the red and made a larger design on the white. I switched the colors each time to have some variety.

Then I Filled it with Chocolate.

Then placed it in the freezer so it would cool down quickly then once they were hard I’d pop them from the mold and the bag them up for the Valentines Baggies.

I packaged them all up and then included everyone’s silly Valentines Day cards. Tron themed this year since who doesn’t like Tron? I was quite pleased with myself with the results. They were very yummy but I’m all Chocolated out, I will admit while making the Chocolates I’d sneak a few for myself. Did you give out any Chocolates this year? Are you expecting anything for White day girls?

I made homemade truffles for everyone this year! If only White Day were more of a thing here so that I could reap the proper rewards. :c
But like you, I just found myself sneaking too many of my own chocolates instead. xD

Hmm this year I did give friends store brought chocolates. Started the practice last year. One of my friends actually made chocolates for me. Hmmm.. giri choco for my male friends.. and tomo choco for my female friends. I am unsure if they’re getting me anything for White Day. But I don’t mind getting them things for a singles awareness holiday. Valentine’s is a pretty overrated and commercialized holiday.

But thanks for the post about making chocolate. I actually was thinking about making chocolate, but chickened out at the last minute since I fear burning the chocolate. I can definitely try this route. ^_^

I was searching the web and stumbled upon this! I’m so going to try this on valentines day! Though, I have a question! My boyfriend lives kind of…a long ways away. Do you know if it would be alright if I mailed these? ._. or is that like…illigal. XD

Oh~ I was looking somewhere for this! Thanks~ I’m planning on making homemade chocolates this year and I’ve been wondering, is there a difference in making giri and honmei choco? If so, which choco is the way you’re doing it for, honmei or giri? I don’t wanna accidentally give a guy friend honmei choco….

How long would the chocolates last? Valentine’s day this year is on Thursday, and I won’t have time once the week has started to make any. If I kept them in the freezer for a few days, would they still be okay? (Sorry, if this is a stupid question…)

  12. Gauzon says:

I’m not in japan but I want to do it like in japan. But your way of making chocolates is easy. May I use it too?, since I’m still a teen.
