Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Tornadoes In So-Cal?!?! Yuki Investigates!

Picture not mine but i recognize this housing track, it’s relatively close to mine.

Today has got to be one of the craziest days all year. IF you live in Southern California than you’ve already heard, if not let me explain. Today we’ve had some crazy weather. Typical So-cal weather is that it’s nice in may. This past week it’s been hot and dry and thats normal May weather. But today we had some freak thunderstorms and TORNADOES! Now if anyone here has ever seen the movie Twister and how scary it is then you have an idea of how terrified I’ve been all day. When i first saw that movie when i was younger the only way my brother was able to calm me down was by telling me that there are no tornadoes in California.

He told me we never get them and we never will. Well I think i owe my brother a kick in the face! For there have been plenty today, and RIGHT BY MY HOUSE! It’s all over our news, TORNADOES IN PERRIS! I’m sitting here freaking out, packing up figures, hoping we don’t have to leave cause then I have no idea what we’ll do. Luckily the weather has calmed a bit for now and the tornado warning have been canceled for Perris. But they at this time are still in affect for the Lake Elsinore Area.

This was on my way to work, it looked so terrible driving there. I didn’t take pictures since i was more concerned on driving safely and getting to work on time but it was hailing on the freeway. I will say i was glad that people weren’t speeding like crazy. Most Californians don’t know how to drive in the rain and such since it almost never rains here and they end up crashing a whole bunch. But once it started hailing the freeway slowed down to about 45mph. But me being the Californian that i am and never experiencing something like this i decided i wanted to see what hail felt like and i stuck my hand out the window. Needless to say i hurt my arm since the hail was so big and it hit so hard. it was like being shot at with a bb gun, which isn’t fun either.

And now i’ve made this post “anime related” by adding yuki! I took more pics but lack of a light source kinda made all the pictures terrible. This also sucks cause i was planning on taking some of my figures out today for a shoot but this crazy weather didn’t let me do anything. And we can also see Yuki’s not really investigating, I just liked that for a title… But at least you can see her panties in this photo!

Twisters sure are a pain. Hopefully all goes well for you. The only problem when one actually turns up is trying to predict where the hell it wants to go, since they can go anywhere on a whim.

  2. A tornado!? I am freaked out now…
The weather is wack. I don’t understand how we can have 4 days of blazing heat and all of a sudden get rain and HAIL.

  3. Optic says:

I hope the worse is over. I would be lying if I’m weren’t scared if I saw a tornado close to my area. Considering I haven’t seen one myself in real life, I haven’t fully experienced the true fear of what it’s like being close to one.

How big was the hail anyway? Over here, they range from a size of an M&M to a marble ball.

Damn right. Well, I’ll probably be the same when I get my license.

I guess you live near Riverside? Well I’ll be happy with no tornadoes near LA πŸ˜€

Technically, Southern California is tornado country. Only recently does people begin to see them.

It’s funny how the internet works – I saw this yesterday online and didn’t think much of it because living in the mid-west – I’ve spent countless time in the basement waiting through tornado warnings. With the internet, we get connected (however vaguely) to people and events that are so far away – so I’m glad your okay (though catching hail wasn’t smart – just be glad it didn’t break your windshield).

I like your last picture, it makes it look like Yuki is causing the thunderstorm.

i better not show my mum this… or else shed never let me travel down there again… haha there goes my summer plans.

In my almost 3 years here in SoCal I have never, ever seen hail or heard thunder as loud as what I saw last night. This is almost beginning to remind me of my home back on the East Coast. I came out here to get away from that, dang it! And tornadoes? That just boggles the mind. In my junior year of college a tornado actually killed some people on my campus i Maryland.

Glad to hear you’re ok at least. Looks like it’s gonna be bad till tomorrow, though.

Kinda ironic that of all things you decide to pack up and make note of it, you mentioned your figures. Priorities, priorities…I would totally do the same…

  10. Lsio says:

Although this is my first time here, I’m glad you and your figures are ok ^^

is it the first time SoCal has tornado? it might be the work of Yuki, she looks evil in that picture lol.

Damn I live in San Diego but i don’t think we got any of that.
It has been kinda drizzling and heavy winds though. I was driving to Carlsbad to pick up some family and just with the wind it felt like it was gonna move my car a lane T_T .

And yes… people in SoCal don’t know how to drive when it rains, seen so many people get in accidents in the freeway cause of it.

Hopefully weather gets well a little bit today πŸ™‚ .

I live in the Southeast, where tornados are frequent, but I am surprised to hear of them in your LA region. I have not seen a tornado, but I did survive Hurricane Hugo back in ’89. The winds of that storm blew all day long at 70 MPH. Not as intense as a tornado, but pretty scary, nevertheless.

I just recently started reading your blog, and man do I love it!

But I also live in California, so I got scared when I heard that So-Cal got tornadoes. All my childhood, adults and children alike have told me that “Tornadoes don’t happen in California.” (I’m absolutely terrified by them because I experienced a tornado warning in Canada once with my relatives.)

Then I watched “The day after tomorrow” a month ago, and then crazy things happened across the world. (Cyclones, Earthquakes, Fires, etc.) Now tornadoes?! in California?!

I’m starting to worry a bit more than necessary…

I hope you’re safe! Please keep blogging!

P.S. I love that Yuki picture actually. It seems to fit her personality very well, and I can definitely see Haruhi ushering her out into the drab grey to take a shot of her with the clouds and her cloak.

  15. Susie Q says:

Wow seriously?? Glad I was away for the bad weather (I live in the south bay area south of LA)- did the tornados do any damage around where you live??

  16. Dancing Queen says:

First off thanks to everyone for their care and concerns! i really appreciate it!
to answer a few questions, first off the hail was small like the size of those mini M&Ms so they didn’t do any damage and thats why i thought it wouldn’t hurt, lol.
second i know people complain about earthquakes but they are super rare and when they happen they aren’t all like Northridge. The tordanoes didn’t do any damage to my house but they did flip over a train and a big rig on the freeway, but i drove by there yesterday and it’s already all cleaned up.

my biggest reason for being so scared was not only seeing twister but also the movie The Day after tomorrow. When they show those tornadoes in LA i freak out since i’m terrified of them. Luckily i’ve never been caught in one before but i know they can be terrifying!

  17. Tiny Red Man says:

thx for the experience. Folks from my side (singapore) never get to experience such stuffs..

  18. Marmot says:

We’ve had a ton of tornadoes here in metro Atlanta the past two months. It’s been horrible. I was at Momocon in downtown Atlanta back in March and they made us evacuate to the basement/floor level because there was a tornado in the city :V;; Shit was way scary. And ever since then we’ve been having to run to the basement every week because of tornado warnings. πŸ™

  19. andibrasil says:

in brasil last month the sky terrified citizens dropping ice rocks of the size of chicken eggs! some cars had total lost and even windows were broken!
its the end of the world as we know it…
