Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Want a Pure Neemo Doll

I’ve been seeing these dolls around for some time. At first i didn’t like them at all, i don’t really like joints and the eyes bugged me. But then i saw a few other brands and i think I’m in love. I need one of these dolls.

I knew of dolfies, and i don’t like them much, the eyes are huge and kinda scary and the dolls are pretty large on top of that. Plus the kinda people who I’ve seen with them are kinda scary.

Not that all dolfie owners are terrifying. But the majority of people I’ve seen with them are fat yaoi fan girls who carry their dolls around with them and talk to their dolls. You see them a lot at Conventions, and if you haven’t trust me they are scary…

But there is something about these Azone Pure Neemo Dolls and intrigues me. Not only their innocent faces, but the clothing, the hair and the adorable poses i always see them in.

After a bit of research i found where i can get one but for 10,000 yen, it’s not very cheap. Plus with so many figure pre-orders that i have out i wonder if i can afford one of these dolls.

I found a super cute one that is similar to this one with a gun. I was recommended that i would need a separate body if i want to do cute poses but those aren’t really expensive. But all together with shipping it’ll cost me around 15,630 yen. Am i willing to shell out that much money for one doll? for that amount i could get like 3-4 figures. I’m really torn up on whether or not i should get her. Plus I’m worried that what if i really like it and i end up spending even more money on these dolls + figures. The one i want is still in stock but i hear they go by quickly so I’m not linking it in case one someone sees it and buys it ^_^. But it all depends i guess on my next paycheck and how well i can save my monies till then. If i have enough for her and for the figure orders then maybe, just maybe I’ll get her! (or if more people clicked the ads id for sure be able to afford her ^_^)

But do you have any of these dolls? What are some tips you’d recommend to a newbie? Is Azone a good brand? I aways try and help people who are new to figure collecting and since I’m new to this I’ll take all the advice i can get! Oh and if you’re a fat yaoi fan girl who talks to their dolfie, sorry but you need to lighten up creepo, you’re scaring the kids…

    I didn’t have enough money for a cute doll, they’re so expensive, like you said, so I’m making my own by buying all the bits seperately, and it’s working out to be pretty affordable! Maybe you could give it a go too.

    It might be a fun change from the regular figures^^ I think you should buy one.

    those dolls freak me out, i think it’s the eyes

    Yeah, dolls are really expensive. -_- The one with the gun is the cutest. The thing is with dolls, if you want, you can make them outfits and so, customize them more. That and if you’re good at it, you can sell doll clothes online (and that can lead to making more money for figures!). I have since these other dolls called Mama Chapp and they’re really cute but, they look more like kids.

    @Katie:
    yeah and at first i was apprehensive to even the figmas for the joints but i have lots of fun with my lelouch figma

    @otaku dan:
    some dolls are terrifying…

    @Larein:
    i adore those Mama Chapp dolls. I so want one of those more than i want a Pure Neemo. but i hear that they are so expensive and hard to find

  6. LOL In your post you touched on the one of the reasons I sold all my Dollfies! The other people in the fandom creeped me the hell out…as you said, fat yaoi fangirls, and people who act like their dolls are alive/have feelings! I do still talk to the (few) normal people I encountered in that hobby though, but I am SO GLAD I got into figures, the people are much less creepy/wanky for one thing.

    As for the Pure Neemo dolls…we sure have similar tastes…I’ve been wanting one for a while >.< The pictures you posted made it even worse lol.

    @Pure Trance (Figured):
    well hey this is proof that i’m not just being some crazy bitch, but there are tons of people in the fandom who are crazy about them. As you said not all are crazy yourself included (when you were into them)

    there are always people who go overboard in whatever fandom there is. When i first got into figures people thought i was weird since the only thing they know about figures were people who jerk off to them. No matter what you do there will always be people who take it too far but i just always was creeped out by people who thought their DOLLS were ALIVE!

  8. @ Dancing Queen – lol you are definitely not a crazy bitch! Not all are crazy, but most are (in varying degrees…)…I was actually somewhat of an outcast when I was into it because I was more of a collector than somebody who bought “resin kids” *shudder* I went to TWO meetups (beats me why I went to the second one lol) and I got soooo creeped out by people referring to their dolls as their children, eugh. It’s one thing to see it when I was hanging out on online forums, it’s another thing to hear people say it IRL!.

    Yeah, there are definitely “fanatics” out there! But as you mentioned, the doll community happens to have a lot of “my dolls are alive and have feelings and opinions” people ick.

    Azone is pretty great, they make so many cute dolls. Alas I always find their clothes runs just a tad bit expensive, and their dolls are always limited runs. Their stuff is very well made though, but the prices probably aren’t easy to justify for new doll collectors. The pureneemo body they make is cool for people who don’t like knee and elbow joints, but I don’t like having to buy all those parts sets just to do different poses, bwaha. If you want cute cheap doll clothes, re-ment sells it by the box now, which is very cool. The Girly Style collection is soooo cute. (hlj.com/product/REM50312) Rement also makes many cute 1/6 scale accesories, so look them up if you want mini food and stuff for dolls.

    If you’re aprehensive about spending so much for an already made doll, you can try making your own like Amyboo said, since it will run you a lot less money. Heck, Mamachapp dolls are made with Obitsu 21cm bodies, with the plain head that lacks the defined nose and mouth molding. So lemme give you some pointers on that, since there aren’t any cheap completed dolls out there. Fans are willing to shell out around $100 these days, so that’s what companies have stuck with, hehe.

    Companies sell eye decals for these small dolls if you don’t want to paint your own (you’d still have to paint the mouth and blush though, so might as well learn a little about painting doll heads) and even heads with the hair already rooted in, so all you have to do is cut and style it to your liking. Alternatively you can learn how to root hair yourself and just buy packs of loose doll hair.

    These three sites have many doll making materials like heads and bodies if you’re curious about it.

    junkyspot.com – check the Obitsu section.
    volks.co.jp/en/ – check the Dollfie section. Don’t worry lol, the large ones are really called Super Dollfie.
    parabox.jp/eng/ – Mostly carries the same things the Junky Spot does, but they have 1/6 scale eye decals and clothing while Junky Spot doesn’t.

    You can mix and match stuff like heads and bodies from the different companies, just make sure you’re matching a normal skin head with a normal skin body, a pale one with a pale body, etc. And don’t mismatch adult heads with child/teen bodies or vice versa… it’ll look weird, bwaha.

    Phew… that was a lot. But I hope it helps! Feel free to ask more questions if you want.

    Aww, but big eyes are good. It’s why I read manga and watch anime a lot >.> Well, I’m not all too familiar with (super) dolfies, only follow some shots and vids on eg. youtube. But I do like them, not to have, since what you said, way too big. You really need to have place for those.

    These dolls are so cute. But they are so expensive for me. If I did find one by chance, I would guess the packaging would be too much.

    I’m kind of offended. I love BJDs but i am definitely not a fat yaoi fan girl. Sure, there are some like that. But there are some that aren’t.. I love figures and I know I’m a total dork but still. That kind of hurt. =(

    Anyways the REAL point of this message:

    Azone Neemo dolls are adorable! <3
