Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

San Diego Wild Animal Park

Yesterday my dad and me went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Neither of us had ever been even though we’ve lived in California forever now. We wanted to go someone fun to take pictures for me to practice with my new camera.

I spent plenty of time playing with my camera the entire day, so much so that i even took pictures before we got to the park! This is a favorite bridge of mine, i have no idea it’s name but i can say it’s south on the 15 freeway. If you live in Southern California you know what bridge I’m talking about!

This patch of highway is called “avocado Highway” since all along the patch on the mountains there is avocado trees everywhere, YUM!~

Finally got to the park and let me dad pay for the tickets! <3 you dad!

First animals that pose for me today, and they have to do this?! Seriously why is it’s head in the other one’s butt?

We then decided to go on this balloon to get a better view of the park, that’s me posing to the right of the balloon.

Our shadow, we were 400ft above the ground, pretty cool.

Elephants look small from 400ft above the ground.

Hey you can see my dad’s car from up here too! Guess which one it is! Don’t know? I’ll give you a clue, it’s yellow. Free Internets to anyone who can guess the make and model!

King of the Jungle, he can afford to relax.

Sadly i don’t remember half the animal’s names, but this is pretty darn cute.

Cheetahs! They were being super lazy all day and hiding, wasn’t able to get a good shot… 🙁

Another animal i don’t know! Antelope maybe?

EDIT: Oops they’re gazelles!

This i know! This is one of two endangered white rhino’s they have at the park. ONLY 6 LEFT IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! AND THIS PARK HAS TWO! Male and Female but sadly the female is now too old to breed. But there is a zoo in the czech republic that has more of these Rhino’s and they are trying hard to help breed them out of extinction.

Same Rhino but different time in the day.

Zebras! Are the white with black stripes? Or black with white stripes? Today i learned they are technically they are black with white stripes!

Filled up the memory card right after this picture which made me mad since they were fighting over the one woman. It was awesome seeing them fight. But i missed some awesome opportunities.

BABY GIRAFFE! ZOMG CUTE!~

The tall one if the male and he was brought in for breeding purposes, looks like he did a good job, all teh females are pregnant!

Another baby sitting, while she looks small she’s actually 9ft tall!

The one tour we missed but will be going back to do, it’s a 50 min tour and you get to go upclose and personal with the animals and even feed some of them.

Deep in thought…

Seriously every zoo I’ve been to the gorillas are kinda dirty, but they were so clean here.

This is his model pose!

Huge Pelicans!

Aww, Momma and Baby!

So regal almost, i loved how you can see such detail in the feathers.

Some amazing flamingos, they are sooo pretty! I’ve always liked Flamingos.

They just stand some gracefully in the water.

Saw this beautiful bird and was so enthralled taking it’s picture, and it squawked. and seriously scared the crap outta me!

Scared me so much that since ti squawked while i was taking the first picture i got this picture of it squawking. But seriously scared the crap out of me!

My dad got bored and ended up taking pictures of me taking pictures of flamingos.

DUCK DUCK! LOVE DUCKS!

The meerkats were being cute and wrestling.

From fighting to giggling!

The lions were pretty darn awesome!

These were the lion cubs, for babies they were HUGE!

Oh Man These Lions were so beautiful and amazing. They made my day really! Best the best animal of the day with this one turtle.

HEHE, they had tons of little things like this in the park for kids to climb in and we saw this turtle shell and i was like “Omg dad you have to take my picture in this! Man i’m lame… But we really had a great time and if you’re ever in the area you really need to go!

Oh and all but the pictures that I’m in were taken by me with my new camera!

    There were so many typos in this post I was wondering if you were doing them on purpose lol.

    The first animals that you said looked like antelopes are gazelles. Nice park and you get to go up in a balloon! Wanted to do that for quite some time now.

    That’s pretty cool!!!!!
    I haven’t been to a zoo like place in a long time!!!!!
    Your pictures are a lot clearer with your new camera.
    I would be afraid of taking pictures in the hot air balloon since I’ll be scared dropping my camera.
    It looks like you had fun though!!!

  6. Redmango (Philip) says:

    I’m surprised you did not bring a figure with you such as Konata or Lulu. Nice animal pics. I did the same thing when I received a new lens. I headed to the Bronx zoo.

  7. Dancing Queen says:

    @Rin:
    well it had a kinda rope fence around so my camera wouldn’t even fit though it, i had to stick the lens through the holes to get good pictures. but it was fun

    @HtoKL
    i’m so excited to take more figure pics now!

    @Blowfish:
    they call him “the stud”

    @Redmango (Philip):
    i did bring konata with me, but was so enthralled in taking animal pictures i forgot to bring her out of the camera bag until we got home. Poor thing…

    Oh god, that dancing turtle queen must’ve been the most coolest animal of the park (and wildest, i presume)

    Anyway, greats pictures, thanks for sharing ^^

  10. Tacho says:

    Very nice pics, I’ve always wanted a camera like that except they are sooo expensive, but worth every penny for sure.
    Yeah i live in San Diego, and even though i see that Bridge everyday on my way to work it never gets old since its amazing 🙂 .

  11. Optic says:

    It’s been a good few years since I went to the zoo or any wildlife park.
    All I remember was birds making lots of noises, kangeroos and crocs. It’s spring now so this could be my best chance. ^^
    Ur a pro already. ^^

    where in san diego?

    @louki:
    it was very dangerous since it were her feeding time

    @Tacho:
    what part since that bridge is still pretty far out

    @Optic:
    oh thanks, i’ve been practicing a lot with my dad’s lately so i kinda knew how to handle it already

  13. Tacho says:

    @DQ:
    Do you mean what part of San Diego ? Or my job ?

  14. Dancing Queen says:

    @Tacho:
    hum… both! I’m in Perris but i don’t go to San Diego as often as i used to with the way gas is so expensive. but that bridge is still pretty far from San Diego from what i know, so that’s got to be quite the commute.

  15. ShadowKit says:

    Very awesome pictures. I do like the last one, too. It reminds me of something I’d do. xD

    I’ve been wanting to go to the local zoo here for a while now. I think I might give in and make my boyfriend take me the weekend after this one, since I haven’t been to the zoo in years.

  16. Rin says:

    Your zebra picture and comment on their stripes made me think of a joke one of my friends told me the other day.
    *******************************
    Once upon a time, there was a zebra. The zebra lead a happy zebra life, but eventually it died and went to heaven. At the pearly gates, he met Saint Peter.

    “Saint Peter,” said the zebra, “am I white with black stripes, or black with white stripes.”

    “I don’t know,” Saint Peter replied, “why don’t you ask God when you get to heaven? Come back and tell me what he says.”

    So, the zebra continued through the gates to heaven, where he saw God. He asked him “God, am I white with black stripes, or black with white stripes?”

    “You are what you are,” replied God.

    Confused, the zebra returned to Saint Peter.

    “Well, what did he say?” Saint Peter asked.

    “He said ‘I am what I am’.”

    “Well, then you’re white with black stripes.”

    This only made the zebra more confused. “Well, how do you figure that?”

    “If you were black with white stripes, he would have said ‘you is what you is’.”

  17. Dancing Queen says:

    @Shadowkit:
    being silly is awesome, hope you have fun at the zoo

    @Rin:
    now that was funny

  18. Tacho says:

    @DQ:
    Oh yeah my commute to work is like 25 miles haha, so i do like 40-50min aprox to get to my job. Yeah i know, but i guess i like my job too much 😛 (Game Tester at Sony).
    I live in like the Chula Vista area, so yeah almost next to Mexico .

    I dunno if you’ve been to the Anime store in San Diego, its called Rising Sun Creations (my anime club and I do meets there and take advantage of buying some merch), they got a bunch of good stuff (sometimes a tiny bit more expensive than online) but you don’t pay shipping and stuff 🙂 .

  19. Dancing Queen says:

    @Tacho:
    wow that’s quite the drive, now i haven’t heard of that store but i’m always on the hunt for new and interesting anime stores.

  20. Tacho says:
