It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]
So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]
Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]
I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]
Finally did a review of my wonderful moetan pastel ink! I adore this figure, I’m so glad i was able to find her on sale as well! I have to honestly say that if i didn’t find her on sale i wouldn’t have bought her. even though she is amazing she the price was still a bit too much for me for a figure of a character that i know nothing of.
Really she is an amazing figure. Her original price is worth it, i’m not saying that she’s not worth it.
She is honestly worth it with the amazing detail on her base. But for me since i don’t know anything of moetan really it wouldn’t be worth it.
lollipop? Wand? What is it? Anyone know?
Oh Ducky! I like it’s little hat!
Nice book, i know she has something to do with teaching English, and i like the fact that it’s got the words Figure, Hobby, Collect, Wonder and Witch.
OK what is this? I don’t get it and it took forever to put it on the base! Seriously seems so pointless, maybe it’s wind?
Ducky sniffing flower, i do like the sunflower and its placement.
Really pretty flowers here too.
Seriously i think it’s a wand but at the same time it looks like a lollipop.
Nothing’s better than a magical loli in her school swimsuit.
I adore when a figure has amazing eyes. When they have bad eyes it’s disappointing for me.
I damaged one of her ribbons on the left the top ribbon. I chipped the paint while trying to get it in the hole. I gotta figure out a way to paint it and fix it.
Nice view from the behind.
I seriously think that she has one of the sweetest faces of all my figures.
Nice legs too.
Overall, I adore this figure. I’m so glad i was able to find her at that amazing price! She’s really amazing and I just love staring at her when bored. Her base is intricate and GSC wins the award for best bases. My only problem is she’s not so much leaning but just going forward. I need to figure but a way to maker her stay higher up on her book. But one thing i’m glad was how she came with instructions on how to assemble her base., without it i would have been totally lost! but now i want this Moetan Nendoroid!

@chun:
that’s exactly why i want it!
I love this figure!!!
I wanted this one but sadly it’s too expensive for my taste…
I still want it though…
The base just gives the figure an extra wow factor into it…
Nice job on the photo!!!
I see your putting your new camera to the test!!!
Rins last blog post..New Theme Delayed!!! + New DVD!!!
Gaah, cute!! Your pictures really bring out how awesome this figure is!
I bought the Kotobukiya one awhile back at nearly the same price, but it’s no where as detailed as this one. Oh well, I love my Koto version very much anyway. xD
I’m not a fan of moe figures at all otherwise I would have tried to snatch this up as well. I really like all the details and the fact that she is leaping out of a book.
Lovelyduckies last blog post..Miku Nendoroid (Vocaloid) Good Smile Company
wow! great shots you’ve done there! GSC never fails to bring out the details!
@Rin:
i’m playing with the camera like everyday and am trying out new things
@Coco the Bean:
the koto version is cute but i wasn’t a fan of moetan as much as i was a fan of this specific figure
@Lovelyduckie:
see for me it doesn’t matter whether moe, or sexy or badass. i just have to overall like the design and pose and paint.
@V2:
really them and max factory are my favorite figure makers, they just put their heart and soul into each figure and you can tell
For good smile standards Moetan is full of detail. All those fold and creases the depth of the mouth… It’s uncommon for Good Smile.
Well, would I buy, would I be a loli fan? š Moetan is really the most ‘weirdest’ anime I ever found, in concept of teaching English. I’m not too fond of the series and Moetan isn’t a figure I want to collect. But you won’t find me telling it’s the lack of quality. Good Smile did a good job on this one.
Hirvines last blog post..W.I.T.C.H. Archived Episode 21
@Hirvine:
they really did an amazing job, and while it’s a loli design at least she’s not cast off or anything
love this figurine š
mine leaned forward after several months.. so bad that the base can’t hold her anymore… i had to do a lil modification on her base to make her stand properly again.. she’s all good now š
ron~s last blog post..Japan Loot Part 2
@ron~:
it seems like mine might start leaning too, so i’m worried that the book will get looose and just drop her, how did you modify her? i don’t want to super glue her but if it’s the best way then i will.
*someone that watches Moetan* That’s her wand, and that’s the magical girl outfit she wears, so it isn’t the school swimsuit. ~ The duck was originally a guy, and he’s very perverted, always drooling endlessly at her upskirt shots with her school uniform and oggling when she gets into random perverted positions.
She’s also supposed to be a high school student, but ironically she’s the only one that looks young – everyone around her looks like they should be in high school. =w=
It was a show made for otaku to learn English (but the Engrish is pretty terrible, and they try to teach full sentences rather than bit by bit), and you can really tell how much it was based for pedophilic otaku by watching it. >.>
But she’s still adorable, and I love the Moetan figures. I already have one of the trading figures that I got at Fanime this year, but I’m definitely looking into at least getting the two Kotobukiya figures – the one of her in her school uniform, and the one of her as Pastel Ink, if nothing else. I have been quite afraid that this would definitely be a leaning figure (but it would’ve been nice if it were still available by the time I found your site anyways >.> ), so I won’t be buying it at 90 dollars. It’s nice, though, definitely.
@shadowKit:
ok so it’s a wand, it might be her tansformation outfit, but the overdesign is still a school swimsui. which is awesome btw. yeah the $90 price tag is painful. plus shipping is a bitch since she’s so big.
okay! i have another question š
what do the like “1/8”, or like “1/35” mean in a figure’s title?
Do they mean like 1/8 of the actual life-size of the anime character? lol.
@kelly:
yes that’s exactly what it means, it means that if you supposedly blew her up 8 times her size she would be the size of a regular person.
feel free to ignore my questions!
Okay so, if i purchase this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Bandai-Code-Geass-Lelouch-R2-Lancelot-Conquesta-model_W0QQitemZ130259407427QQcmdZViewItem
I wouldn’t have to paint anything right? Because I thought I read somewhere that I had to. And I know assembly is required, but like is it really hard to do so, or like super easy?
thanks for answering all my questions š
I lovee your blog.
I want to be more informed about figures X].
and you reply super quickly rather than the other blogs I read.
so.
you’re basically awesome. lol.
@kelly:
yeah he needs to be assembled, not sure about painting thought but most likely you would need to paint it if you wanted it to be fully detailed. but the plastic is colored so it does still look fine not painted. i own this one http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN948836
which is very similar you can see a bit of it dancing here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5KxAz6p7Vc
but as you an see it’s till very detailed without paint.
now for me at least assembly wasn’t that hard, it was actually a lot of fun as well and gave me a nice sense of accomplishment once he was finished. i would go fit it plus it’s not a bad price either.
i think im going to purchase it! thank you so muchh!
i’ll talk to you later, haha.
i always have lots of questions.
sorry bout that.
OH WAIT.
so it would look like this when it arrives, correct?
http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN955527
with the full color of the image, and all?
because that’s like really pretty. i hope soo.
@Kelly:
i doubt it’ll be the nice metallic color, more like yellow.
very nice photography! I liked the anime, too.
lol, so do you think i could build it, even if i can’t read Japanese, assuming that it comes with a set of instructions?
couldn’t be thattt hard, would it.
@Kelly:
well mine is about the same difficultly level and mine wasn’t hard to build at all. the instructions are in japanese but they have pictures and they are super easy to follow and bui8ld even if you don’t speak a word of japanese
so disappointed i missed the hobby search sale ;_; did see her at the sf kinokuniya last week although not sure how much they’re charging for her…
such a great get! grats!
meronpans last blog post..Iām slow with reviews -_-
