The Girls of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien at the Beach

The same day i did the Small wonders review, i had actually planned instead to go to the beach. The plan was to go to the beach early in the morning and take pictures, but the day was super cloudy and it seemed impossible. But we ended up going back to my brother’s apartment and sleeping for a good couple of hours, from a food coma. Then right when we woke up it was about 45 minutes away from sunset and the clouds cleared up just enough to leave a beautiful sunset and the perfect setting for this shoot!

First up is Good Smile Company’s Suzumiya Haruka, She’s a pre-loved figure from my best buddy Deftoned! Pre-loved figures have their advantages, you can get your hands on a long sold out figure and you can get them for a good price as well!

Haruka is a beauty and I’m glad Deftoned was willing to part with her.

But it did take some persuading on my part!

Getting my hands on Haruka was very good since it also meant I’d be completing the set since i had just gotten the Hayase Mitsuki figure as well.

From the moment Mitsuki was was announced I knew I had to own her. She was one of those figures that i felt i just had to have.

I loved the curves of her body, the vibrant color of her blue hair. I knew that having her in my collection would make it pop!

Love her stomach, how it’s got a little pudge and not flat like it’s expected of most women…

I think you can tell how far I’ve progressed in my photography skills in such a short time when you compare this shoot to previous beach shoots like this one. One thing for sure, is that i was able to use the sunset to my advantage and it was just the perfect amount of sunlight needed. I was also lucky that since the majority of the day was cloudy and cold it meant an empty beach, so i didn’t have to worry about anyone getting the way fo my shots. Now i only went closer to the water for one shot, the second to last shot. I didn’t stay long since the tide was rising and the waves were so strong i was worried of the water coming and washing away my PVC beauties.

Now for the figures, both are just stunning. But something i love about both figures is how they are both curvaceous. How Haruka’s thighs swallow up her swimsuit, yet don’t make her fat. How Mitsuki has the pudgy tummy yet looks very fit. If anything this needs to be the standard for woman instead of the stick figure skinny models we see today in fashion magazines. Another big thing i love about both these figures, is how vibrant their eyes and hair are. Their eyes almost glow and their hair is so colorful and really if it weren’t for these features these figures would be very plain, but with them they are just stunning.

    Beautiful photos! I love all of them, the figures are just amazing. <3

    I’m thinking about doing an outdoor photo shoot at some point but I don’t want to get my figures dirty. Specially with beach photo shoots, the sand is wet and such… well as long as I can clean them off but… ^^;;

    @ron~:
    yep, it ws pretty cold for people to be at the beach, plus it looked like it was going to rain all day

    @Spirit Rubi:
    when i did the other beach shoot i was terrified about getting them dirty, but as long as you clean off the sand, then clean them with water and mild soap you’ll be fine

    @phossil:
    it’ll be nice once it’s summer again, right now ti’s cold here

    The figurines and the photography are amazing, but the only thing that seems strange to me is that the timeline points of when these two characters are depicted is different.
    Mitsuki is being depicted from when she’s in high-school since after the timeskip she cut her hair short, and Haruka is being depicted after awaking from a coma in her adulthood after the timekip.

  15. Rincewind says:

    ¡Nice pictures! I would love to have a figure of Haruka.
