I’ve been so broke as of late. No Money means no new figures, no new figures means no reviews for you. So while this is the only new figure i’ve gotten in a while, I’ll be going back into past figure purchases and reviewing them for the time being while i build up my funds for new figures. Unless there is anyone out there who would like to send me samples to review!
From my last post, I scraped up the little money I had and got the Miyuki X Sheryl figure. I have a special place in my heart for Sheryl Nome, not only because of my Cosplay. But also because she’s a character I felt I related to.
Miyuki Cosplaying as Sheryl Nome also made me feel a bit closer to her as well!
Looks like she had a good seamstress as well!
For just a prize figure, she really is well made.
A tad smaller than the Alpha X Omega Sheryl Nome, but she looks cute small next to Sheryl.
The glasses do distract a little bit and aren’t removable. If i were Miyuki i’d invest in some contacts for such an elaborate cosplay.
Her Pink hair does work for Sheryl.
Nice base design!
Her face really is just adorable!
I love this figure, well worth the money and I’d love it if more figure retailers took the time like Toylet to get these figures in stock! It’s so sucky for us in the U.S. or even anywhere not in japan to be able to get our hands on these figures!

So, how much did you end up actually paying for her?
I think the pink hair works for Sheryl, because Sheryl works with lighter colours, especially in the somewhat pastel range, be it light yellow or well, light pink.
So, why do you relate to Sheryl? 🙂
I relate to Sheryl since even thought she’s a diva, deep down she just wants someone to love her. I felt Ranka was a bit too childish and when you see Sheryl’s downfall i really felt and understood her pain

I think Banpresto did a nice job on sealing the seems and matching the paint well. I like how they didn’t completely distort the face like I have been seeing a lot lately with other figure companies.
they did do a good job, while not worth it due to quality she is due to rarity
Toylet is very good about getting even the exclusive items. However, their prices are not so great! It might be worth it though…
they are worth it when you can’t get them for cheaper in the US

I kind of regret not buying all the girls to satisfy my need to see them all displayed on my shelf, but I’m saving up for a bunch of other things too, so I gotta hold back on my figure purchases… plus I have a huge hunch they’ll be releasing some K-ON figmas, and I’ll be buying all of those without a second thought ^^; I think it’s great that you got Miyuki as Sheryl, whenever I see Sheryl I think of your cosplay because I had no idea who the character was even when you cosplayed her. Now that I’m watching Macross Frontier, I’m like “Oh, DQ~”

Oh man 800 yen? I’m jealous of the lottery winners! But I’m so glad you posted your review of her. I’m REALLY REALLY looking forward to this set! When I was looking about where to make cut backs on pre-orders there was no doubt in my mind that this set had to stay! And your review has confirmed my hopes that these will be some good looking figures.

Poor Miyuki can’t do contact lenses! It takes away from the cosplay but if she had contact lenses taht would go against Miyuki’s character way too much. She has a “thing” about contact lenses.

Miyuki doesn’t look too bad, I wish this didn’t mess with my head, her personality is worlds apart from Sheryl’s.

I wanted to tell you that I read your blog, but totally wussed out ^^;;;
I had the money for only one of these cuties as well and I snatched up Konata x Alto right away 🙂 Definitely worth the money and I do agree with you that the quality isn’t on par with other figures, but they are too cute you can forgive for that.

When I saw that Sheryl I thought for sure it was a garage kit; that pose is so risque and that bullet… let’s just say that is not what you do with bullets! It looks like it came straight out of the pages of a hentai doujinshi!
Maybe it’s just me. The lady at the Organic booth at PMX was trying to give me a free fig of a girl showing off her shimapan and I had to tell her it was too ecchi for me, lol….
