It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]
So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]
Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]
I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]
As mentioned in my last post I happened to just have the luck of being in Paris, France when the Danny Choo meet up was happening! Was mentioning on Twitter how my trip to Paris wasn’t going well when Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com mentioned to me of a meet up that was happening in Paris. I just couldn’t miss it especially since this was the best coincidence of all!
He was a really nice guy and it was awesome meeting him, he had lots of really good advice for people wanting to live and work in Japan. He did a nice little talk that my brother recorded as well!
While it was all very good information not only about how he made it in Japan but also good information on how he learned Japanese, it didn’t really apply to anything I personally needed other than the main message of follow your dreams. As I may be very much into this Japanese pop culture with anime, figures, manga and more, I don’t have a goal of living in japan. My goals are different; get married, have a family, become a successful photographer, travel, and just to live my life o the fullest. It was awesome to see someone who has made his dreams come true and that it isn’t an easy road. I know that to make my dream come true it’ll take hard work but I’m willing to put in the hard work it’ll take!
So many awesome people i also met, was awesome meeting Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com. A really nice guy and we had some really nice conversations while we were there as well. He really made me want to go visit more of France, I’ll have to check out Bayonne one of these days! Thanks to James of StudioSushi to setting up the meeting!

I’ve always wanted to meet him ^^. Seems like fun. Props to you as usual.

Pure Jealousy,,,, =/
muwhahahahahaha!

Often think of this quote I love when awesome stuff happens ^^
Was really nice to meet you and your brother. Had such a great time!
Will have to plan a trip in So-Cal hehe ^^;
very very true! Anime Expo is coming up! My boyfriend also was impressed that you’re a trombone player, he’s a trumpet player and has mentioned that his band could use a trombone player… too bad you live so far away!
Sounds like it was a good meetup. I bet there were tons of people there.
it was actually quite a small little group, which was really nice gave us a chance for everyone to talk to everyone
Dont tell me you were hitting on Lu-k? Lol. Just kidding 😉
maybe just a tad, don’t let my boyfriend know ^_~
no words can explain the amount of jealousy i have. Hope you enjoyed it. ^^
it was such a blast! I’m so sad he’s stuck in paris, I’m so lucky that we went home before the whole volcano issue happened.
These are the moments where I wonder if my absitinence from services like Twitter isnt the wrong choice ^^;;
Your equite lucky to meet up with two awesome bloggers.
well i heard about it first on twitter, but he did also post about the meetup on his site. So either way if you checked the site out you would have known about the meetup, I’m just lucky i posted about being in France at that time!
Coincedence? No, no way! This kind of thing is fate! Being able to meet the legendary Danny is like meeting Kamina, almost. You’re so lucky~
Heck, gonna get to meet Kamina as well! The Orignal Japanese Seiyuu is going to be at Anime Expo this year! Also i could tech. Say i met Kamina already if you counted the English Dub, my friend’s a good friends with Kyle Hebert.
Wow, that’s awesome! I was trying to get on his calendar when I was visiting Tokyo last year (trying to use my Microsoft influence and my friend’s Apple influence) but alas he was too busy. I’m not going to give up though, I’ll try again next time I’m there! 😀
yeah i was lucky he had the time for this awesome meetup!
grats on finally getting to meet Danny! ^^ Really cool how you turned a trip that wasn’t going well into an unforgettable experience 🙂
we really were able to turn the trip around into such an amazing time! I’m lucky to have such an amazing family who really did want to make this an experience for us
My dream is to read a lot of manga amd watch a lot of anime. ALSO to visit Japan for two weeks, I’ve already started saving up. I plan on going within 3 years.
i really want to go as well, but i’ve got to have tons of money saved up for that trip
Soooo lucky!
It might be strange to some people but I find him to be such an inspirational person (I was going to say “figure”, but that would’ve been too obvious ^^ ). Hopefully we will all have the type of success he’s found, not measured in dollars but in happiness and lives touched!
(Note to self: learn about this Twitter thing. LOL)
lol, well when he’s done something that mos otaku only dream of it’s obvious that many people will look up at him
