Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Megahouse Rob Lucci

Rob Lucci, I would assume his character is supposed to be Italian? Somehow the name and his face and style at least give me the feeling of a suave Italian man. More One Piece characters of course, I’ve got plenty more to come! Don’t forget to leave a comment for the upcoming giveaway!

I’m torn on whether he’s a good looking man or a douchey looking man. It’s the beard, the perfectly trimmed lined beard with the little balls near the mouth, that’s what makes me so torn!

Also the suit with the rolled up jacket sleeves is another sign of a douche bag. Sorry to all you men out there who dress like Rob Lucci, you’ve got an uphill climb to prove you’re not a jerk to the ladies.

It does make me curious as to what kind of character he is, am i wrong in my assumptions of him being kind of a jerk? Or does his looks tell me everything about him.

I have the say i love the detail in his jacket, the folds and creases are just dead on and really look like he’s truly wearing this jacket and not that it’s painted on him.

At the same time with my Douche Bag assumption who can be a douche bag when you’ve got an awesome bird on your shoulder? I mean how awesome is this bird? He’s got a tie on! If only he were a Hen, get it? Hen Tie! Yeah sorry for the bad joke >_<

The Top hat is pretty snazzy, so top hat + Bird = badass yet beard + rolled up sleeves = Douche Bag. Quite the dilemma!

Now He’s got a mask! It covered up one aspect of the doucheyness factor but still, I wonder why he even needs the mask in the first place.

The mask itself is pretty well detailed and fits perfectly on his face, no need for straps or magnets, unlike the bird that uses a magnet to stay on his shoulder.

Seems awkward to have the mask on without the hat.

You boys always get the panty shots, so I threw in a crotch shot for the ladies!

Not sure what to think of Rob Lucci, I bet I’d have a much better grasp of him if I’d seen the series, Started watching it last night now only got to 2 episodes before I turned in for bed time.

Surprisingly with all my silly comments I would totally love to own Rob Lucci! I’m always in need of strong looking badass male figures. I have a few but not nearly as many as I’d like. These character designs are so out there and so cool that I really hope to get into the series, at the same time I’m not looking forward to having to sit through 400+ episodes of one show >_< I do hear it becomes epic so I figure I’ll give it a shot. For those of you who have seen One Piece, what kinda of character is Rob Lucci? For those who haven’t, what kind of character do you think he’d be if you went solely based off appearances? Don’t forget to comment for the upcoming giveaway!

well, you are not wrong in your assumption that he is a jerk.

    • Dancing Queen says:

it’s never right to judge a book by it’s cover, but it’s always nice that when you do, you’re spot on! hehe

  2. breeman says:

As someone who hasn’t seen One Piece, I agree with your assumptions of his character based on his appearance. Trimmed beard? Rolled up sleeve? Classic douche bag… still, quite a nice figure, and the top hat and bird do add a degree of badassery. Also, kudos to you for attempting to start One Piece. I already follow too many series at the moment that I’m not willing to drop in order start up One Piece from the beginning and try to catch up. Maybe someday I’ll watch the series (probably when it has ended and I know exactly how many episodes i’ll have to watch) with a series like this, you really need to have followed it from an early stage, or else you’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

    • Dancing Queen says:

I’ve got soooooo much catching up to do, if i can get through it all it’ll be the longest series i’ve ever seen!

  3. Blowfish says:

    Judging from his looks id come to the same assumption as you but sometimes looks can be decieving ^^;;;
Id say you really should watch some OP epsiodes or atleast read a bit about the character you review beforehand on Wikipedia.
Id find it hard top review a character i kno nothing about

    • Dancing Queen says:

I always find it’s easier to review a figure i know nothing about because then i’m not biased based on the character and can go solely on the figure quality and design

  4. MG says:

Judging his character just by appearance, he definitely looks like a total jerk.
The bird with the tie does look cool though.
I just finished the first episode of One Piece, and while it was enjoyable, I agree that sitting through 400+ episodes of it seems really daunting. >_<

  5. pyrogamer01 says:

Rob Lucci is pretty much what he looks like. He start off as a cool guy, then turns into a douche… One quirky thing about him is that, when you meet him, he doesn’t talk. The mask is spoilerific so I won’t get into that. One Piece is extremely long and there isn’t much of a hint that it will be stopping, but it’s good all the way!

  6. Flip says:

hahaha yeah you pretty much nailed him.

  7. Jerok says:

A badass or a douche bag? I’d say a “badass douche bag” is pretty dead on. The mask is related to certain events where he has to remain incognito.

I don’t own him but I had to restrain myself from getting him quite a few times. And the only reason I didn’t was because I focused on getting the main crew and a couple of favorites I just couldn’t pass no matter what. I don’t have THAT much money to spend! :O Yet so far my P.O.P. count is at 14… and will only keep rising this year.

As for the anime, I’d recomend to have someone pick out the filler episodes for you, they’re ok but unneeded and can cut those massive 400 by… 50 or so? It’s something. In geographical terms the main crew is halfway towards their goal, so that’d make 400 more until it ends, but the author can rush it a bit if he feels like since we’ve recently been introduced to probably 70% of the strongest guys in the One Piece world (which includes all of the strongest marines) so the day Luffy is among the top ten is somewhat in sight.

And yeah. All hail Hattori the pigeon! \(^o^)/

    • Dancing Queen says:

Fillers are what i’m afraid of the most, but i figure that maybe i can skip the fillers and it’ll make it better for me

  8. Emma07 says:

I like his figure design, but I donยดt want to say anything about the character because it will be to spoil. Your assuptions are pretty good.

  9. Rapunzel says:

I’ve never seen a whole lot of One Piece but based on his character design I’m thinking the same thing you are :/ He does make a mighty fine figure though xDXD

  10. Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. Rob Lucci starts off funny enough (he doesn’t say anything but lets his bird talk for him), but eventually he shows his true colors. He’s a complete jerk, no doubt about it.

He does have a really sleek design. I passed on him since he was a bit too plain, but if I ever find him for cheap I’ll add him to my collection. Just can’t get enough One Piece figures.

  11. Yami says:

Too bad that I stopped watching One Piece and can’t remember what kind of character he is.

But isn’t if funny that it looks like as if he doesn’t have anything in his pants? Based on the crotch shot at least.

  12. Jisu-chan says:

I would assume the same as you. I really need to see this series.

  13. Max Lingley says:

Yeah, Lucci’s pretty badass. Won’t say anymore to avoid spoilers if you plan to check the series out ๐Ÿ˜›

I got this one for my girlfriend when it came out, he and the skeleton dude from one piece (Brooke) were her first figures, they’re pretty sexy.

One Piece is a commitment for sure with it’s length, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll be hooked once you hit around episode 40 or so. The first bit of the series didn’t particularly grab me. And since Megahouse makes such excellent figures for One Piece, as a fan, I can proudly display them ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Jase says:

Excellent sculpt and I have to say that the bird on his shoulder is a nice touch. They’re both stylin’. With all the accessories available with the figure, I would be torn with displaying the figure or without them. One one hand, it’s very cool but on the other, the figure could be too covered up and I may just end up storing it with the box.

    • Dancing Queen says:

i would end up displaying him with the hat and bird but without the mask so you can see his face

  15. AtaliaChan says:

“Iโ€™m torn on whether heโ€™s a good looking man or a douchey looking man.” – I don’t think that I can call any of the One Piece characters ‘good looking’ (except Zoro whos fine), but I think him, at least in his figure form, is definetly the most close to it.
and his body looks great. but what the hell with that mask? it looks very awkward.

I wanted to try watching One Piece too, but I really don’t think I can sit through 450+ episodes~
probably most of the the people that are following it are watching it since it started airing.

    • Dancing Queen says:

it’s easy to keep watching a long series compared to starting a series that’s super long

  16. Bee's Wing says:

If it’s at all easier for you, try reading the OP manga or even just Wikipedia if you want to know THAT badly before doing these reviews :p. I own this figure, and it is so freaking gorgeous. The only problem is because I don’t have a glass cabinet, he tends to show dust a little more easily than some of my other figures.

But I seriously recommend doing the Franky figure in the future. It’s one you have to look at with your hands and your eyes. Lots of moving parts and bitty accessories. I have it, if you ever want to really see these figures for yourself.

    • Dancing Queen says:

i’m actually finding it funner to guess and then have all you nice people either let me know i’m right or correct me!

  17. lovelyduckie says:

YOU’RE going to try One Piece!! YAY I hope you like it! I went into this series a bit skeptical but it 100% won me over, I caught up to Japan in just a few months of watching about 5 episodes every day after work. Lucci was a good villain, I really liked him a lot (as a villian). My favorite villain is still Crocodile! LOVE HIM! I skipped this figure of Lucci but I went and pre-ordered Crocodile.

  18. Sara says:

you won’t regret catching up. And Lucci is awesome, in that, im a total badass villain kinda way. Hattori’s just cute, at one point they even gave him a little furry coat

  19. Raptor Jebus says:

Not gonna lie…you were pretty right about Lucci. The character isn’t so much of a douche as he is an asshole. A badass asshole. A badasshole, per se.
If and when you get that far, it’ll make sense to you. Just know that the entire Enies Lobby Arc is by far the greatest in terms of actual fights (until you get to the Whitebeard War.)

  20. nadeshiko says:

    ~SQUEAL~

MY beloved pigeon guy!!!..<3 (he is one of the CP9 agent who was loss to monkey d. luffy)

I am crazy for him.., heeheee

  21. Luffy kun says:

Before posting bad comments on Rob Lucci, try watching first One Piece.. Your a crap…. Website Blog DOWN FINGER.

  22. iwantalogiaormythicalzoan says:

This was real accurate for someone who hasn’t watched One Piece, at the time of writing I mean.

Rob Lucci is one seriously badass antagonist (he remains one of the few villains so far who have come closest to killing Luffy, and the only one to have done so using only brute force). His Douriki is 4000 (off the freaking charts), his Rankyaku Gaichou can cut steel, he actually used Geppou offensively in a suplex-like move, and he has Rokuougan…crazy.

haha sry for the extra long comment…this was a real good analysis ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. Shaun says:

I like your reviews. The pictures are a definite help when comparing mine to them! You really need to catch up on your One Piece, though. Mainly because you are pretty dead on with just the appearance of the characters. lol. It’s great!
