It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]
So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]
Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]
I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]
Epic Mickey, recently released for the Wii and the Limited Edition comes with this adorable figure! Now this is a first for me, a non-anime non-japanese figure! Still this Mickey is just adorable and worthy of being in my collection.
Love the little tail but am so terrified of breaking it off, it’s not that fragile, but I have bad luck with smaller parts. As you can see with mickey there isn’t too much detail that needed to be done to make this figure well Epic. I’m glad they kept it simple and just did the character design justice. Something I really don’t like about Non-Japanese figures is how they go into too much detail on their figures and then just making it feel like a toy. Mickey here feels like a collectible and not a toy I’d give to my niece.
I’ve sadly haven’t had much time to actually play the game so I can’t give you my opinions on it just yet but if anything this Epic Mickey figure is just so adorable I’m glad I got the Limited Edition instead of the Regular. Have you played Epic Mickey? How do you like it so far? If not are you planning on getting it?

I was thinking of getting this game, most of the things I’ve read have been good. Also it is sometimes compared to Mario Galaxy which i liked.
I hear that they brought Disney’s first character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, out of the vault in order to be the antagonist of this game. Too bad I probably wont be able to grab up the limited edition but I really want to do the Steam Boat Willie sequence!
i can’t wait to get to that part of the game!
i want it soooooooo bad….and now i want that figure XD…..but aside of getting the game, i first need to get a wii and then the game XD lol, i will only get the wii just for one game that i want lol
the thing that’s nice about the wii is how we are able to have it in the family room and everyone plays it
Wait, first non-anime non-Japanese fig? No Ariel figs? FOR SHAME!! You are not true Arielholic!! lol
i am, the issue is i haven’t seen an Ariel figure worth buying that didn’t have a face that looked nasty
http://agcpictures.wordpress.com/ariel/medicom-16-vinyl-collectible-doll/
i stand corrected! She’s lovely! I need my own now!
there was one i always wanted and never bought, a local shop had her for $400 and i passed and now regret it but it was this one http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/disney-giuseppe-armani-the-little-mermaid-ariel-in-2 in person she was a stunner!
Wow! I want to have this figure too! It’s a great game and a real leap from all the previous mickey games.
There’s not much for the Steamboat Willie sections as it’s just a way to get between lands inside Wasteland (kind of a dystopic Disneyland). The real antagonist is actually an ink monster that Mickey accidentally releases into Wasteland, which was created by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, which Walt Disney lost the rights to to Universal Studios early on in his career and was only restored recently when Bob Iger succeeded Eisner as chairman and was able to get the rights back for Disney in 2006.
I’m still stuck in Tomorrow City, so if you can figure out a way to get out, let us know…
It’s not that they brought Oswald out of the vault, but that they were able to reacquire him from Universal back in 2006. Thus the idea of a game reuniting the long lost brothers came about, as well as bringing back other forgotten characters such has Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar.
The game is pretty fun, with multiple options on over coming challenges. Some options will make the game easier, as boss characters might like you and decide not to fight. Or harder because you made them mad. The choices you make also determine the ending you get, so it’s got replay value if you want to see both ends. The games biggest draw back is the camera can be an issue at times.
I’ve got this figure sitting proudly on my shelf myself! I even picked up the paintbrush nunchuk controller! I played the game through in about a week, and some camera issues aside, I thought it was a really great game!
Incidentally, I wrote up some of my thoughts on the game at [link=http://www.Painted-Pixels.com/blog/2010/12/17/my-thoughts-on-epic-mickey-for-wii.html]my blog[/link], complete with photo of my figure and paintbrush!
