Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Alpha Max – Eris – Asobi ni Ikuyo!

This is the first coldcast figure I’ve gotten my hands on and I have to say I’m impressed. I’ve seen one Cold Cast before in my time as a figure collector, it was a poorly taken care of older figuer that had broken off in many places. I will mention that this figure is very fragile in comparison to PVC figures. So much so that I didn’t touch her much and barely moved her during these photos to avoid damaging her in anyway.

In this amazingly cute bikini as well I’m loving this figure, normally I’m not a huge fan of bikini figures as they tend to be very plain this figure is far from plain.

For me I judge figures based on their faces, I love a pretty face, the figure could be a really naughty figure if the Face is pretty I’ll love it!

Her bikini top is made from rubber so cast off it really simple and it doesn’t seem like it’ll leave any marks on this figure when you cast her off, the next pictures aren’t safe for work. Young eyes turn away.

A little light on the nipples if you ask me, but then of course everyone is different. I love how my brother, who owns this figure, was commenting on how they look so real. Yet real ones that large would never look that perky, plus they are a little too round on the top.

They look much more like fake ones than real ones.

She’s still very sexy. Her tail as well is magnetic but without it you have a very large hole in her back so sadly you can’t display her without the tail, but then why would you want to?

The base is very delicate and the sand seems like it’ll chip off easily. The bottom of the base is felt and it does state her licensing information which is nice.

Her fruit basket is very nicely detailed and her fingers are some of the nicest fingers I’ve ever seen on a figure, yet I worry of how fragile they really are.

Such lovely hair but again I worry just how fragile it may be.

She’s absolutely stunning and while I’m glad my brother shelled out the money to buy her so I was able to review her I’m not so sure I would have done the same. The fact that she’s so fragile and cost so much more than a PVC scares me a little, yet the quality is so high that she is just a stunning work of art. I do love this figure and found no flaws with her but am not sure if the price tag would be worth for me to add her to my collection. But then I have yet to see the series and know nothing of her character and whether or not she is worth adding to my own collection. I could just make it easy on myself and steal her from my brother, but then he does know where I live… Well it seems for now I won’t own her but at least I can admire her when I go visit my brother.

  1. OK, now what is the difference between “cold cast” and resin? I’m confuzzled. And yeah, bit too perky there with the oppai, but as a doll person I’ve seen plenty sculpts like that too. As in “baby it’s cold outside” IYKWIM.

And yeah…price. I’d rather drop that kind of change on a dollieh than a figure. Go visit http://www.junkyspot.com/ and between Obitsu and Bobobie you’d find something very nice for that kind of price.

I do like calling a mischievous catgirl Eris. Nyan.

i’m not entirely sure of the difference but will be looking into it soon!

This is a beautiful figure, but you’re right, it’s hard to spend that much on just one figure, especially if you have no attachment to the character or series (that’s like 5 Nendos, lol). I actually don’t like the look of most non-PVC figures myself and can’t bring myself to pay more for uglier. xD But this one’s quite nice.

As for differences in types of material and such, here’s an article I came across many moons ago: http://www.riuva.com/?p=301

So, I was reading this review, and then I came to here, “Yet real ones that large would never look that perky, plus they are a little too round on the top,” to which point, I came to the conclusion that somehow, you are a female in her twenties, and you have never seen a pair of breasts. SHOCKING! Not only is this EXACTLY what breasts of this size would look like, these are much more correctly sculpted than many other figure breasts, and writing them off as looking fake looking just nullifies your entire review. So, I shall end wondering how a female has never seen breasts or if she has, they have only been flabby fat breasts, and thus would come to a conclusion of these being fake.

I have a pair, have seen a large amount of boobies considering that as a woman we change in front of each other all the time and when they are rounded on the top of the boob it usually a huge indicator that they are fake. yes some women can have large perky breasts but it’s quite rare and for them to be so large would really only be fake

Her waist is really a big turn off for me. It not very proportional to her figure at all(no pun intended)….. its to thin.
“Her fruit basket is very nicely detailed and her fingers are some of the nicest fingers I’ve ever seen on a figure, yet I worry of how fragile they really are.”-You really need to see Momohime’s fingers…. they are the best ive seen on any figure so far.

Nice cast off… But the side view of the figure looks maybe even too skinny 😀

    • Dancing Queen says:

yeah i seem to getting that in a lot of the comments, i’m leaning to agree with yuo guys when i look back at these images

Great review. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the money to get a Cold Cast over a PVC figure. Sometimes you can get 2 PVCs for the price of 1 Cold Cast. What do you think?

  6. I gotta say, you are one lucky person. The amount of detail in the figure is amazing. Aside from the character being from my favorite show, the colors are well done and compliment the figure. The shape matches perfectly, and the definition of the figure makes it look almost completely real.

I have to agree with you on the coloring of the because it was a little darker in the anime.

I apologize for this (very) late comment. I happened to stumble upon you while searching through google. I saw your panel at AX 2013 and have been wanting to see what else you have. I had no idea this figure existed.
