Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Append Miku Figma

Ah figmas, man they sure are pretty, and when you know how to pose them well they look amazing. Sadly I don’t know how to pose them, however my friend Nox Kreiker does. He has a love for figmas and since he was going to get the new Append Miku figma I told him I would love to review her however that he’d have to help with the posing!

She really is so pretty! I adore the design of Append Miku and while I personally am getting the PVC and the Nendoroid I was bummed I wasn’t going to get to see her in person, but now seeing her in person, while I don’t collect many Figmas I do wish I had one for myself!

She comes with a few faces and two different torsos so you have one with the flap opening up or one without the flap.

Also with ordering this figma you got headphones, I beleive you can use them on other figmas as well.

Miku is well made, and looks so awesome. The issue with this figma my friend had is the lack of a hole in her back for the stand and that it comes with a claw instead. This is what was the main complaint about Fraulein Revoltech, so why take a step back figma? It makes it harder to pose her plus the claw is so fragile it even broke! Good thing my friend has strong glue, however that shouldn’t have been an issue to begin with. I hope that Figma isn’t starting to think about making more figmas with the claw stand, it would be sad to see them take a step back with their designs.

I absolutely love the hair on the Miku here! The clear to almost frosted texture looks great.

It’s too bad about the claw stand though. I wonder if it’s because of the switchable torsos that they felt it would be too much of a hassle to have to make them with holes in them?

  2. Jeffrey Wong says:

actually her hole for the stand is where you clip on the tail for her its shown for her official pictures on GSC

I love my Miku Append figma a lot, they have a hole on her belt so you can use that instead of the clip. It’s a pretty good improvement, no visible holes, and pretty easy to pose that way. No, you can’t have mine, it’s a keeper with my #014. You have some limited success swapping the parts from the original Miku figma, like the faces and some little bits. A very good figma in my opinion.

Ok, this just nailed it down for me of how i want this figure a lot >__<

I dislike how you can’t pose her with the regular hole in the back, too. If you want the tail on, you can’t use the normal stand. I haven’t tried messing around with the claw part yet, I don’t think I’m going to.

She’s wonderful otherwise, though. Her cute face is absolutely adorable and I’m going to have it on her 100% of the time. <3!

I ordered this figma from rightstuf a while ago and I ordered another one from playasia today. If I don’t get this figure now I am going to ram my head into a brick wall. lol^-^

  7. MrColobus says:

Mine turned up yesterday (Hobby Search), excellent Figma. Better be careful with this one, my other Miku Figma fell of the shelf and has literally broken her neck

  8. D-Gold says:

    I just got mine today(well 1 of the 2 I ordered)

It looks so nice ,but I don’t want to open it ,yet I am tempted to just by looking at it.

  9. icelava says:

i think Nendoroid has a better but more expensive solution – the magnetic stand.

  10. James says:

The claw on mine broke the other day. T_T
